"Flags" is a fierce, new, political drama by the well-known American playwright Jane Martin. Presented in the manner of a Greek Tragedy, the story concerns a working class couple in America's heartland, whose tank commander son is killed and mutilated by a mob in Baghdad during a garbage run. In his grief and outrage, the father, Eddie Desmopoulis, hangs the flag that draped his son's coffin upside down in front of his house. This act of protest divides the town and eventually destroys Eddie's family.
